Today I saw another, or possibly the same Little Egret flying over the house, and this time I managed to get a shot of it as a record.
I didn't manage to get out anywhere over the weekend, but the birds around the garden have been very active. I saw a flock of Long-tailed Tits along with 1 Goldcrest, lots of Goldfinches and Greenfinches have been visiting the feeders. I had pairs of both Green and Great-spotted Woodpeckers in the garden yesterday, and today there were 20 Jackdaws under the bird table with 3 Jays in the trees nearby. Also saw a flock of Redwings the field behind the house as well as 3 Roe Deer. Buzzards have been active as well, flying around quite low over the house sometimes and there have been large flocks of Black-headed and Common Gulls flying past. I think the recent cold weather has probably brought in a few more birds to the garden, hopefully if it continues I may get some special visitors, a Blackcap or Brambling would be great!
