Another weekend with no WV sightings, still plenty of latrines and a some tracks, so they are still about. The water levels have to my surprise dropped over the last week in spite of all the rain, in fact the water cress beds are down by at least a foot. I discovered that one of the flow control items has been removed, for what reason I don't know. I've emailed the wildlife trust in case it's been done illegally. On the plus side I saw a bullfinch the first I've seen in years. I think a white Egret

The family of majestic swans also floated by



I spotted the kingfisher as well, third weekend running now. I got pictures but a little to far away as was the cormorant out on one of the lakes.
