On the 26th I did a round of the Top Field and recorded huge numbers of butterflies and the following day (Dadís birthday) I found two broad-leaved helleborines on the side of the track in Bentley.
I have left the overview of the Top Field until now because it mainly covered the whole of July and a bit of June and August but it has been a very good year in 2008. It is an amazing haven for butterflies and wildflowers and supports a strong breeding population of skylarks that nest in the long...
