Comet 2007-E2 (Lovejoy)

Recently discovered, it is currently a Southern hemisphere object, and can't be seen from UK - YET - but is heading North.

It is expected to be at it's brightest throughout late April, as it tracks North through Hercules, at around 7th magnitude (estimated)
'7th mag' means it is just beyond naked-eye capability from a rural site, but should be fairly easy to see in binoculars.

At the weekend. I'm doing a 'monthly events for April' post for my own astronomy forum - when I get the finder-chart drawn-up, I'll post it here too.

We`ve never really understood the fasinaction of Astronomy,but after watching the Lunar Eclipse earlier this month and searching on the internet for more info, it`s fantastic we set up the bird scopes and put a Nikon coolpix 4500 through one of them.Couldn`t believe the pictures we got,i think we`ve been converted.In a village close to where live there is an enthusiast that has an observatory set up in his rear garden,I`ll definatley be asking him if I could if it be possible to have a look to see further.Fantastic, my wife is a bit worried means they`ll be more lenses cluttering up the place.
