Jim | Have a look at the BBC News website - there are photos from last night from both Scotland (Scotland pages) and Northern England (England pages)! BBC News - In pictures: The Northern Lights over Scotland BBC News - In pictures: Northern lights above northern England
*SIGH* I wish I was further north - Shetland was one of the places to be last night! I would love to see the Aurora...

But on BBC breakfast it seems there has just been another large solar ejection thingy, and tonight could be very good to watch.
Except cloud is due to cover the whole of the UK.
Cheers,
Bryan PS. Some of my larger garden plants are looking very restless this morning.......

| | | Re: Northern lights Thanks for the links Solus - how absolutely fantastic! As the images whipped by on the telly northern news this morning I thought I recognised The Tan Hill pub and sure enough there it is! OH WOW! I would drive up there just to see that .... but now its going to be cloudy and raining ........ damn and blast I didn't think it was possible to see it like that in this country and certainly not within a couple of hours drive away ..... oh the frustration of missing it ......... Did you get it Boddie???? You were in the right place???
