| | | Re: Star Count Orion 2012 Checked last night.Saw 10 stars inside the box.That is a brown star position which is lows as only 1 place up from bottom.Possible to check again Thurs/Fridasy night as may be clear skies then.

The instructions say that you should make your count as soon as you can see the constellation. It seems to me that whatever the light pollution you will see very few fainter stars if you count as soon as the bright stars are visible. |

I counted 14!
Wouldn't know whether that was good, bad or indifferent.

53% Failed to see more than 10 stars .1 in 10 saw 21-30.... 2% only saw 31+.
..Almost 1000 people responded.
