| | | Re: Stargazing Live 2012.JAN-16th-17th-18th Enjoyed tonight's show as much as yesterday's. I got given a little scope by my dad not long ago and thought I'd try it, I'm sure I found Venus! It's extremely cloudy but in the breaks was able to get onto what I tought was Venus, although it wasn't long before the clouds settled in again.
I tell you it's certainly wet my appetite, can't wait for the next clear night!

| | | Re: Stargazing Live 2012.JAN-16th-17th-18th Another great show!
The photo's viewers are sending in are incredible!
I wonder if any WABbers are amongst them?
Brian cracked me up when he said, "If you still don't believe we landed on the moon, switch over to ITV!" Cheeky so'n'so!
Afterwards, on 'Back To Earth', did anyone else spot Level-headed Jo from Spring/Autumnwatch accepting a glass of wine from Mr Cox?
I wonder what she was doing there? Part of the production team perhaps?
Looking forward to the last instalment tomorrow night.

| | | Re: Stargazing Live 2012.JAN-16th-17th-18th Good show especially blackholes but shame about UFO episode which we could have done without as it's nothing to do with astronomy "Raindrop on lens = UFO" - no it was flare from brilliant light in night pic - I can do those to order |

Looking forward to the last instalment tomorrow night. | Yes I did Thought I must be seeing things. Then she went to the back of the crowd.
The comment about miniscule black holes possibly being all round us made be laugh - I thought - that's were all the odd socks go
I also wondered if any WAbbers phots were there, but don't know their 'real' names. I'm now waiting for Fudgey to start on stars!

Maybe this has something to do with it.
I have to say, I have to say, I prefer him as a presenter than as a comedian!
Heh ho, never thought I'd hear myself say that!

Final SGL found a planet via the internet and a village in Devon? turned its lights off - for party but no starlight 'cos of complete cloudcover
Here's my astro buddies pie chart of 2011 cloudy/ clear nights done over many decades which largely explains why stargazers must grab any opportunity to view the skies and not just Wednesdays at 9.30PM etc
