| | | Evening star returns
Planet Venus - the Evening Star - returns to the sky low in the southwest after sundown after an absence of many months - it's included in my mosaic of planets recorded this evening in twilight below. 
Venus shows a phase similar to a gibbous moon ~86% full.
Due south was Neptune and its moon Triton, in southeast was Uranus with two moons and due east brilliant Jupiter and 3 moons [1 more moon further west]. Uranus and Neptune are grossly overexposed in recording their very faint moons - I've marked their true disk sizes in blue

another shot of gibbous Venus in SW and Jupiter + moons in east at sundown. Sky too bright for my 'night' camera so used a card stop over scope to cut down light - exposure just 1/1000s  |
