guide to intermediate 'scopes
My knowledgeable neighbour has given me an overview extract of four scope in current ScienceFocus magazine listed here in increasing aperture - all have GoTo features for finding automatically >30K objects in the nightsky thus...

1]Sky-Watcher Evostar 80ED DS refractor+ProHEQ5 mount @ £1222

2]Sky-Watcher Evostar Skymax-127 Maksutov incl altaz mount @ £365

3]Celestron NexStar 5SE Schmidt-Cass on altaz/equat mount @ £789

4]Meade LT6in ACF Schmidt-Cass hybrid on altaz mount/auto starfind @£999

#1 was rated best for astrophotography whilst #3 gave the sharpest views.
