| | | Bright moon At 6.10pm (we are an hour ahead of Britain) it was still broad daylight but the moon was shining so brightly and looked so close and big. Has this anything to do with tomorrows Lunar eclipse? I took a couple of photos but of course with a digital compact camera basically they are rubbish  has any one taken some better photos this evening to do this spectcular moon justice? |

| | | Re: Bright moon Because of the alignment which is required for the eclipse, the moon will apear full.
If seen near to the horizon with other earthbound objects in the observer's field of view, the moon appears to be much larger than when it is high in the sky without any reference points. However this is only an illusion as the apparent size is constant.
Unfortunately its wet and overcast here. Fingers x-ed for tomorrow.
