exotic SS433 in Aquila

My target the other night was SS433 [#433 in Sanduleak & Stephenson catalogue of hydrogen stars] in Aquila the Eagle - a faint star that conseals its exotic mature. It's a binary star where a hot blue star [shown] orbits an invisible blackhole companion and jets of gas at incredible speed issue from the poles of the blackhole in a wobbling motion that was dubbed the lawn sprinkler !

SS 433 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia quotes "...the spectrum of SS 433 is affected not just by *Doppler shifts* but also by *relativity*.....there is a residual redshift of 12,000 k/sec. This is not the velocity of SS433 away from the Earth but due to *time dilation* [where gravity of the blackhole s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-s time!] and my earlier crude spectrum showed this - good fun
