Despite the late twilight this time of year it's still possible to capture some nice deepsky shots from light polluted suburbia sometimes in brief exposures of just a second or so Taken with my 12" Meade +Starlight Xpress Lodestar-C astro-camera. Includes a 'close' star @ just 11LY range and nearby in the sky a quasar some 7,000,000,000LY away and nearer home the moons of Saturn

Not yet been able to find the Ring Nebula with my Skywatcher EXPLORER-150 but will keep trying!

Indeed - keep trying - another Ring Neb mix from last night with exposures from 5s - 30s. Longer exposures shows fainter stars and sharpening shows structure in nebula. The bluish central star in the nebula is the white dwarf star that illuminates the nebula

Thanks Michael for your interest - here's another summertime favourite in the starball M13 in Hercules snapped in 30sec exposure and 1 degree to the SW some extremely remote galaxies - some probably great than 200,000,000 lightyears [200MLY] away and unlikely to be seen by eye except via a monster telescope from a mountaintop - my cam can jump that barrier in 2 min exposure from light polluted suburbia

Thanks Snowdrop - twilight drawing in slightly at night for some stargazing - here's a couple of DSOs from last in 60sec exposures via my 12" aperture scope eg globular [starball] M71 and nearby planetary neb [dying giant star] in M27

Lovely shots again.Some good seeing was had Sat night/Early Sunday.Milky way just full of stars.Little dipper showing up. Cassiopeia was very clear.Some good stars showing up there.Cygnus and Lyra was looked at.Last quarter of the moon viewed with a yellow filter showed craters well.Jupiter was just below and saw the Galilean Moons.4 hours viewing on my Skywatcher Explorer was worth staying up for.That was after a bar-b-q,wine and some of the hard stuff later.

Just caught this thread. Excellent photos, as always, Nytecam.

I have seen M13 a few times, but the Ring has always eluded me.

Good to see some great photos.
