| | | Re: March 3rd - Total Lunar Eclipse A bit late now but for those of you that could only get white dots because of their camera lenses, you can use binoculars or telescopes as a long lense. With digital camera's LCD view finders these days it's even easier to get a reasonable shot. |

to watch the partial eclipse,very worthwhile.
The change from the bright final corona to that dead red
was mildly disturbing

At Totality the exposure was 1 second @ f4 iso 800, anything more than 1 second and the moon orbit was visible.
Everything set manually, including colour balance and focus |

Everything set manually, including colour balance and focus | These echo my exposure and white balance settings, although I did stop down to f/16 here and there for some extra depth of field (just joking!). However, there were people near me using flash on compact cameras at totality.
