| | | Re: first telescope Good choice.I have a similar Skywatcher 1145 with the FQ1 mount. The tray on the tripod is a bit fiddly to screw up in the dark.Takes a lot of practice to locate holes.Best of luck with the telescope. Many nights of happy seeing to be had with it.Saturn rings will well visible this April.Look up Heavens Above a good site to log into.

| | | Re: first telescope It will be an exciting thing to watch Saturn with a telescope. I always use a telescope equipped with a laser bracket and astronomy laser for forward stargazing.
You can have a try, it a perfect match with an astronomy laser for long distance astronomy research.
Wish you a best time in astronomy research. |

Wish you a best time in astronomy research. | Do you really mean laser?? or do you mean 'finder' eg small scope to help aim big 'scope?? Missaimed lasers can be very dangerous to eyesight and their use illegal pointed skywards on flightpaths or near airports |

Since it is a bit dangerous, I always make a clear check and wear safety glasses during research. This kind of stargazing doesn't suitable for everyone. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
