I see the well informed (lol!) press are predicting tsunamis and earthquakes for next week when the Moon is at its closest for some years. Might be a few high tides I guess...

Just a thought. When the moon has finally drifted off out of Earth orbit, to the extent that it no longer influences tidal patterns, will we just have spring tides from then on?
