| | | I.S.S. pass this evening-when? The time of the pass on the screen is 17:44 to 17:54. Is that the time aziz now, or do I look an hour earlier or an hour later? Sorry about the rush - don't want to miss it! Cheers, Tony. |

| | | Re: I.S.S. pass this evening-when? Don't know whereabouts your location is, but when set for my local area, the only visible pass for tonight is stated for 19:22 to 19:25.
That's from the Heaven's Above site and the times are GMT. (ie. correct for Britain as clocks haven't yet gone forward to BST).
Regards,
Mike. |

| | | Re: I.S.S. pass this evening-when? If you click on this link, it gives you the times for the next three days: - ISS - Visible Passes
I've set the observer location to Swindon Wiltshire - so should be about right for yourself.
If you click on the link for the date you want, then when the new page appears, click on the "Click Here" link for Ground Track, it then shows (on another new page) where you need to be looking with respect to your home location.

Mike. |

| | | Re: I.S.S. pass this evening-when? Thanks for that, just lugged the telescope out onto the lawn, just to try and see if I can see it through there, Cheers, Tony. |

| | | Re: I.S.S. pass this evening-when? You might be better with a pair of binoculars or just the naked eye - it moves across the sky fairly rapidly, and finding it with the small field of view of a telescope will be very difficult I would think
PS: Note that it will appear brighter tomorrow night than it will tonight! (Look at the Mag values next to the visible pass dates on Heavens Above)
Regards,
Mike.

| | | Re: I.S.S. pass this evening-when? Heavens Above has your pass listed, but under "all passes". Under "visible passes" it's not listed, so I suppose it will be still daylight and too light to see it. |
