nearby Red Dwarf star

Most stars are so remote that they remain essentially 'fixed' against the star background for decades or maybe millenia - Red Dwarfs are probably the exception as they are so faint that they can only be seen if relatively close to earth. Teegarden's Star [below] @ 12LY is such an object in Aries - it moves 5"arc per annum across the sky in a SE direction and pictures taken a year or so apart show this movement.

Inset on the right of my image is the extract from Sloan DSS and Teegarden's Star is recorded [from a few years back] as a red and blue dot taken perhaps a year apart - my pic [main and left] from tonight show this star has moved considerably further SE
