There are some old sayings and which are normally accurate: If the stars are really tinkling then windy weather is imminent; stars far away mean hot weather and stars low and huddled together mean wet weather. I just wondered why these things happen? |

Must be something to do with the atmospheric conditions as different fronts move in. |

I think you are mixing up stars and sheep, tufftie.
Yes I think it MUST be sheep that Tufftie means. I have 3 sheep here. They ALWAYS tinkle when it's windy weather (they tinkle at other times too) and in wet weather (like now) they are low and huddled together.
Works for me!!
