Reports stated that it appeared to travel more slowly than other meteors. It's probably because it was travelling _with_ the rotation of the Earth. When they travel _against_ the rotation of the Earth, they're very fast.

Didn't see this one but did see one a long time ago 5/7 yrs ago from my back garden and it scared me! so bright and long tail behind. Around this time of year too.
