| | | New nebula discovered YouTube - 1st pics of new Necklace nebula
Announced on APOD on Nov 3 2010, these are the 1st amateur pics taken via my Meade 30cm SCT a few days later of the newly discovered planetary nebula in Sagitta with the improbable designation IPHASXJ194359.5+170901 but friendly titled the "Necklace Nebula".
Immediately after the announcement some amateurs with massive Dobsonian scopes in the States reported glimpsing the nebula under very favourable conditions but mine is the first, if unimpressive, pic against the old adage - a picture is worth a 1000 words and is positive proof and not hearsay
The nebula is visible on the old Palomar survey photos so its recent discovery is a surprise so search those old pics!
