Moon Halo

Just been looking at the Moon and it has a halo tonight here, don't know if this is a common occurance it's an absolutly huge halo around the moon, not imediatly arround it, but a fair way back and a total circle has anybody else experienced this and know what causes it?

Just nipped outside and had a look, and yes there is a large halo around it, but like you I have no idea if it's common or what causes it.

Re: Moon Halo

I took this in November when I saw halos around the moon, they don't show up and the moon looks like an egg

Re: Moon Halo

It often means you're in for a frosty night. Quite mild here though.
