Apparently there is a good chance that you can see the Northern Lights tonight.
I heard most of the report but did not catch just how north I may have to travel.
Anyone any ideas?

I'll check down here, but there's too much light pollution within the circle of the M25.
Lancaster University's 'Aurora Watch' site is not currently reporting any unusual activity: AuroraWatch Real-time Activity (Crooktree)
You can subscribe to them and get automatic alerts via email.

we me and the mrs looked l;ast night at 2300 hrs no luck and clkesr skies aswell cloudy tonight we are in south devon by torquay

this site gives you better idea of how far south they're likely to extend, but it doesn't look very good for tonight.
