| | | Re: stargazing - a winter thing? Yes, it's clearing nicely now  Very few clouds about tonight but maybe a few will hang around long enough to produce a lovely sun set. I always think you need some nice clouds then.
Will be looking at the sky later from my balcony, probably while sipping a Baileys!

| | | Re: stargazing - a winter thing? winter sky's certainly appear to be more favourable however I took my kids to the top of a hill after dinner at grandmas recently and got a lovely clear view of the milky way! One of those clear nights that if you are a part-time gazer like me it is hard to actually spot many of the constellations due to the many stars that are visible!! |

| | | Re: stargazing - a winter thing? Looked out last night.Saw Jupiter rising.The moon was very bright just over half full.The little dipper was very visible.So was the Big W. Cepheus had its hat showing well.Milky way was beginning to show then the cloud started to cover,so I went in doors About 22.15.Only out for half an hour.But worth the effort.Look forward to those crispy nights.
