I get to observe the sun most mornings before breakfast through my tiny PST telescope which shows the 'flames' or promiences on the edge of the sun like below from this morning - also video clip YouTube - solar proms thro my PST  |

still spy the sun most days but snapped today showing flame-like prominences on limb  Patterning on disk is camera artifact!  |

sun's waking up with sunspots on disk and prominences on limb as snapped here from indoors this frosty morn thro' glass - tiny blue planet earth added for scale

Quick afocal snaps from a cold and frosty patio via my little Coronado PST showing the sun in hydrogen light. Two of the flame-like prominences are detached and drifting into space
