Didn't last long, just long enough for me to take this photo:



Strange thing is, it's now lighter than it was 15 minutes ago as the cloud has passed.

Unusual sunset sky - well caught

Without wishing to poach your post here's a pic taken yesterday of the solar corona close to the sun with rainbow colours caused by waterdroplet within thin cloud over the sun - hope its of interest Just a cautionary note - for safety only view the real thing briefly through dark sunglasses

Thought I saw something similar.Clouds had a rain bow effect on the edges as sun was going down.Must have been something to do with with the situation.
