Apparently an asteroid in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter has been outgassing and thus become a comet  The comet's discovery just a week ago - my pic from tonight in 400s exp via 70mm aperture f/5 scope+CCD cam - v. powerful bins or scope need to view   |

here's a reprocessed shot eg central crop enlarged x2 - the asteroid/comet clearly shows outgassing as a diffuse [rather then starlike] appearance
As a comet it's maybe x1000 brighter than it was as an asteroid   |
