| | | Re: vulcanic ash in UK skies Here in east London our car has a good deposit of what I think is some of the ash - dark grey sludge when I used the washer and wipers - and we also had one interesting sunset on the 17th.

| | | Re: vulcanic ash in UK skies Funny how stopping something for a couple of days makes people so much more aware! Who bothered to talk about contrails before? Someone long time ago did research and called it 'global dimming.' but few people seem to remember this, that actually high planes could be keeping the planet cooler. I think there is too much emphasis at the moment, on chemicals in the upper atmosphere, and other factors are being ignored. Also I suppose the planes are running more frequently at the moment because there is a backlog of passengers, and because they ould be grounded again at any minute. |
