Tides
I understand why we have tides and why spring tides are higher than neap tides but can anyone explain why the spring tides around the time of the equinoxes are more extreme than spring tides at any other time of the year?

probably due to the sun and the moon being in more of a line with earth at that time of year, don't quote me though
