Aldi spotting scope

Thought this may be of interest - from tomorrow [Thursday Feb 4th] at Aldi a 60mm aperture spotting scope [seems rubberised] with angled x20-x60 zoom eyepiece, mini tripod and case for £19.99 Also nest box complete with internal colour cam with sound for connecting to TV at £39.99 Might have a look at former

yes the scope seems to be an annual offering from Aldi. I bought a couple last year and for the money they are not bad at all. I might also look at the nest cam

Like Lance, I bought one last year from Aldi as a result of WAB and am very pleased with it.

It's made in Germany, has a decent warranty and I've seen what looks to be the same telescope offered for £79.95 in a magazine in front of me that says it was originally £199.95 !!! (Windsor Products)

The higher zoom magnification is not so good but for the money it's OK.

I agree with this comment, and I would add that the eye distance is quite large, if you just clap your eye hard on the lens, it doesn't work too well. Certainly the price is fine.

Sounds good I want a scope if your recommending it then might try. Have heard that they do laptops for £300 and they are reviewed as excellent so am waiting for them to appear too

I am an intensive user of computers, both at work and at home. I am using 3 Aldi bought computers, and I like them fine. I have also used quite a few other brands, I find hard disks are the weak point with all the brands, closely followed by power supplies.

To wander a little further and hopefully assure anybody thinking of buying an Aldi computer.

I have purchased two computers from Aldi, both German made Medions, a laptop and a desk top. I've had the six year old desktop upgraded recently and the firm was impressed by the build quaiity.

The Medion Akoya was excellent for just over twelve months until it was stolen in a burgulary.

I have no hesitation in recommending them. Their SD cards are good and cheap as well. I wouldn't recommend the cheap pair of hand held two way radios made by Binatone. They don't cut the mustard in comparison to other brands.

Bought the 60mm Optus spotting scope from Aldi lunchtime and although it's early days I'm impressed with the quality although the hi-mag x60, as stated, is pushing its luck with some chromatic abberation but very sharp a lower powers - my video clip at YouTube - Optus spotting scope unboxing and setup
