Did anyone see the shooting star
that passed in front of the moon 22.16hrs?
Was setting my scope up to get a pic of a plane flying next to the moon when a shooting star passed, visible for about 3 secs. If only the camera had been switched on......

No - I wasn't looking and even if standing next to you probably the same reply

However their orginators are comets and one can be seen crashing into the sun today [Monday Jan 4th] at SpaceWeather.com -- News and information about meteor showers, solar flares, auroras, and near-Earth asteroids
