Had a look at Mars tonight high due east [40deg alt] at 11pm through my shorty ETX-70 x85 eyepiece and it appeared as an orange disk about the size of the full moon to the naked eye but no detail - 'seeing' [steadiness of the night air] was fair - here's the only semi-successful shot with cam handheld to the eyepiece but disk elongated through camera shake but gives a clue to scale - it records quite bright 'cos it is
