| | Unknown visiter footprints
Good morning,
My name is Pete, and found these perculiar prints on my grass this morning.
Had the same type of print last year, but I am still unaware of what they are of. Can anybody help, I have several more if needed.
Regards,
Pete.

| | | Re: Unknown visiter footprints I'm thinking more along the lines of bounding Woodmouse due to the pairing, length of front and rear pairs and scale with tyre print.
What joys doth snow bring?
By the way - Hi Pete and welcome to WAB.

| | | Re: Unknown visiter footprints Based on the length of the pad prints and the distance between groupings, I'd guess at a squirrel (grey more likely than red) ... and heading towards the patio? in the foreground rather than away from it ... that is, smaller forepaw prints appear behind the rear paw prints.

Regards, Pete. | Hi Pete - welcome WAB [astro forum] so they must be UFOs but could be mice - had our regular woodmouse about on the patio at dawn Happy Christmas |

| | Re: Unknown visiter footprints Many thanks for your very prompt replies, Im sorry for not replying sooner, but had a weekend away.
I think I am inclined to agree with VALLYFORGE, as I have numerous visits daily to my garden, by grey squirrels. When you see them "hopping" round the garden, you can see this would lead to a metre distance between each mark and in a straight line.
Once again, Many thanks to you all,
Sprint. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
