My video clip YouTube - changing spectrum of nova at outburst outlines the cause of a nova to appear in the sky and records its changing spectrum [V475 Scuti] via my telescope - the H-alpha line at 656nm typifies a nova but it only appears dominant a week after initial outburst. Comparison spectra with nova-like star V838 Mon famous for its lightshell recorded via Hubble ST - hope it's of interest

I sort of followed that (I do try) as I would like to understand more- was fine up to the end of the Star Wars intro!

ps:my many astrovids on Youtube approach 50K hits in first 7 months so it must be working
