The Western Morning News is saying Wednesday night is the best night so lets hope it stays bright and clear. Todays weather is great, not a cloud in the sky, maybe will see some tonight.

Was great a couple of years back, went to the top of the Ashdown Forest to view them to avoid light pollution, and to get a bigger area of sky (too many trees in Sussex!) .. they were every 10 mins or so

What's the best time? Will go up to the top fields when it gets dark. Ashdown Forest - lovely place to view them Cutecoot - i lived on outskirts of Downs so light pollution not too bad! Tree cover could be at times though  |

Just saw my first one, so maybe anytime from now on, Tuftie!
I'm laying out in my garden on my sunlounger, with a hot cup of tea I'm surprised how dark the sky is, even with the light pollution from my garden (I've got quite a few of those solar lights around ..!) There are a few wisps of cloud around, but not so much as to obscure the stars for long.

Just popped outside - can just about make out the plough in the garden and jupiter int he front plus a few other stars over all the light pollution - sky clear except for a vapour trail though - no sign of any meteors though | | | |
