I am not as keen an astronomer as some people on this forum, but i do have an interest in the subject. Unfortunatly i do not know much. 
What websites would you suggest so i could improve my knowalge on astronomy? |

To add to those - I'd also suggest joining at least one specialist astronomy forum.
A few UK-based suggestions.... BBC Sky at Night SPA - Society for Popular Astronomy AstroChat - Amateur Astronomy Forum (blatant plug for my forum  ) Stargazers Lounge - Astronomy Forum UK Astroimaging forums
The above mentioned 'Cartes du Ciel' is a free-to-download planetarium program for your computer.
Enter your location and it generates real-time charts of what you can see in your sky at any given time.
Another good free one is 'Stellarium'
Google should easily find both of 'em
