Venus @ dawn-only earlybirds need apply!

A bathroom pitstop at dawn this morning and I spied Venus low in the east with a beautiful dawn birdsong chorus Later, before breakfast, plopped the ETX-70 on the patio and scanned left of its earlier position and got lucky - Venus came into view - all as videoed here.
Anyone else enjoying the Morning Star currently ?

Hi nytecam. I set off to work at 5.30am and often see this really bright "star". Is this likely to be Venus? It isn't in the east though it's more westerly. Cheers.

Venus is always near the sun and currently low down due east at dawn with sunrise later in the NE - hope that helps

Thanks Nytecam. I wonder what it is, as it's obviously not Venus!
