I visited Jodrell Bank Dish over two decades ago and another is planned by our astro-society this July
I was lucky to get a ticket for the Carl Sagan lecture at the Royal Society Piccadilly London during the Halley's Comet events in the 1980's and by chance sat next to Prof Lovell

Sagan was the 'master of presentation' - he gave his facinating Halley talk without notes timed to the second - he finished and turned his head and a moment later the famous Lecture Room clock chimed on cue! Even got him to sign my copy - Sagan's latest book. Even oldtimers like me drool.
