| | | Partial Lunar eclipse 7th September Visible at moonrise. Starts at 18:05 UT and finishes at 19:37 UT. Maximum at 18:51, 18 per cent of the moon will be covered by the earth's shadow.
To see anything at all, you will need a flat eastern horizon and very clear skies. Most of the eclipse will take place at a very low altitude. |

I'm just trying to work out where I can get in a nice high location to photograph the results! |

| | | Re: Partial Lunar eclipse 7th September Aren't we ment to have bad floods in October because of a very high tide and other factors? A lot of places could go under water. |

| | | Re: Partial Lunar eclipse 7th September Fingers crossed here Sonia in North Yorks where we have had some amazingly beautiful sunsets the last few nights. Colours that look too brilliant to be believable. So I'll be out there in the early evening, anticipating the event.

| | | Re: Partial Lunar eclipse 7th September I have just been out into the back garden at 20.15 and the partial eclipse is still clearly visible. I look pretty much east that way and only by chance went out at this time... dogs wanted out really, so I guess I was lucky to see it... Just checked again and there is still evidence of eclipse. Nice one!! |

| | | Re: Partial Lunar eclipse 7th September Well the eclipse started here(ie I noticed it) about 20.05, was at its peak about 10 minutes later and is fairly fading now. Don't think it's going to last an hour tbh.
Did get a couple of photos but not brilliant. |

| | | Re: Partial Lunar eclipse 7th September It looked great from here. I got a few photos, but I am sure some of you will have some much better ones. However, maybe not including a plane taking off from Heathrow!

| | | Re: Partial Lunar eclipse 7th September Missed it! Well I got to see the final edge of it as it finished. I didn't realise what time it was happening. Will be more alert for the next one. There's a solar eclipse on the 11th of this month.
