Venus - last chance

Here's tonight's 60s video Only a week or so before inferior conjunction* so look now before the Evening Star disappears for this apparition. Venus is large enough for the crescent phase to be seen in any 10x50 bins.

Venus viewed this afternoon some 9 degrees above the sun at 'inferior conjunction' with special filter over the telescope for safety

Great stuff, reminded me of a James Bond movie. Would have used Kelloggs instead of Tesco's though, just to give it a bit more class

Five day gap since last vid of Venus at inferior conjuction but still ~9 degrees from sun but now to the west [right] of the sun and technically a 'Morning Star' thus Vid taken yesterday morning with sun high in southeast
ps: have credited the cornflake box used in vid!
