| | | In the Shadow of the Moon DVD I had this bought me as a Christmas present.
Its a wonderful film/documentary that came out a couple of years back.
Basically its brilliant and very moving account of the experiences of the astronauts that have landed on the moon with the exception of the reclusive neil Armstrong.
Always been fascinated by space travel as my late dad love all things astronomy and i remember watching all the APPOLLO mission takes offs and landings on our old black and white telly at the time |

Have you read Moondust by Andrew Smith? From the dustjacket: Quote: |
Of the astronauts who walked on the moon only nine are still alive. One day in the near future there will be none: no one on earth will have known the giddy thrill of gazing back at us from another world. In MOONDUST Andrew Smith sets out to find and interview the remaining moon-walkers in order to learn how their lives, and ours, were changed for ever by this surreal adventure.
| I grew up in the sixties too and was always glued to telly whenever there were flickering ghosty images from space.

P.s. I've just ordered the DVD!

I couldn't put it down for long | Yep, that ones in my collection, along with Chris Kraft's Flight and Sy Liebergot's Apollo EECOM. I've been collecting books on space and space exploration for decades, especially the biographies and autobiographies of the people involved - astronauts, flight controllers, and the people who designed and built the spacecraft. Here's my collection so far but there are dozens more I'd like to get...
