Venus and Jupiter on view now

Planets Venus [the Evening Star] and Jupiter [the Giant planet] draw closer together for conjunction on Dec 1 - here's my pic from tonight from the landing window - go out and have a look in the SW dusk sky over the next 10 days

My dad passed away not long back and he was really ito astronomy and I've been looking through alot of his old books on the subject and even found myself watch NASA documentaries on the discovery channel of late.

Totally fascinating and got me started on something else worthwhile you can do in the back garden

My Husband came in and said there were 2 bright Stars in the Sky. Thanks to this thread I was able to tell him what they were thanks for the info.
