As well as Jupiter/Venus on the 1st, there will be Venus/Neptune on the 27th, and Jupiter/Mercury on the 31st.
And contrary to what astrologers will tell you (don't confuse astro nomy with astro logy), the positions of the planets among the stars can't possibly affect day-to-day events on Earth.

How often do these planets do this. My b/f mentioned that he watched these two 'stars' all the way down from Scotland tonight and asked me what I thought it might be.
