I did do some post processing in photoshop but it was just a bit of cropping and sharpening. |

I have found the quickest cheapest way to get shots of the moon with a compact is to digiscope.
Use a cheap spotting scope and offer up your digi cam{often set on macro dose the job} Its tricky to hold still but it is soon mastered....hay presto cut price telephoto. As the moon is quite bright i might darken the exposure a tad for more detail.
Its cheap simple and efective. There are some on my blog.

| | | Re: moon setting This was taken earlier in the yr..using my Nikon D40 set up on the tripod, was pretty pleased with the result..I might just try my hand at some more shots, especially as the skies have been pretty clear lately..
