My first picture of the moon
Just to show you a photo of the moon I managed to take through my Opticron (birding) scope using my Canon IXUS60 last night (it was pretty cloudy which affected the photo)



I was surprised it managed to focus at all.

Great image - keep snapping away - as the moon now reduces from full to gibbous the surface becomes more interesting with craters and their shadows
