So whats your favourite planet? In this solar system that is? I like Neptune because of the deep blue colour

and err - I answered Saturn cos its the ruler of my star sign and accounts for my introverted, quiet, sobre and steady demeanour........... Eh?

Apparently there are two kinds of Capricorn - one goat who is tethered to the valley bottom and duty, and the other aspires to greater things and is a 'gobby-mare' like me

I'd have to say Earth, because it's the only planet in the Solar System with birds. Leaving earth aside, then I'd go for Saturn because of that fabulous ring system.

Jupiter - as we (and evry other living thing) would probably be single celled or not be here without it! If it wasnt there to hoover everything up with its gravity, we would have been bombared with comets and asteroids through out prehistory

Oh and its fantatsic when even with a hukmble pair of binos (on a tripod of course) you can still make out is moons - thats the real reason if Im honest!

This poll was poorly worded and perhaps should have read " What's your fave planet - apart from earth?" but that would have killed the banter

Mine, apart from earth of course, would be Mars as it's the ONLY planet [when well placed] you can look down on its surface with a telescope and see, over consecutive evenings, it slowly rotating - the martian day is 40min longer than ours

So it's Mars for me - my pics below includes moons Phobos and Demos

I voted for Neptune. I love all planets for different reasons, but in the grand scheme of things, I feel Neptune doesn't get the recognition other planets do. It gets forgotten about. Call it a pity vote, I guess.

if i was a chocoholic ,i'd live on mars because of the bars. a worm it would be earth, if i was a flea it would be pluto, a hemoriod!! ...nothing springs to mind!!!.....please don't freeze me!!!!!

Voted Venus cos women come from there, allegedly, don't they?

Earth's quite perfect on the other hand too, save for all humanity's shortfalls (many of which aren't supposed to be discussed on this site for obvious reasons)!

Also, for many a year, I was under the impression I was actually going to INHERIT IT someday!!!
