| | | Venus returns! [Getting the hang of posts + pics here! ] Been months since I've seen Venus in the evening sky but got lucky last night low in gap of rooftops in SW from 1st floor window with handheld cam

| | | Re: Venus returns! I remember the first time I managed to see some of Jupiter's moons, (through binoculars).
Just four or five miniscule white dots close to a slightly bigger white dot in the blackness - but special nevertheless.
You can't help but be awed when looking at the night-time sky. It's only then when you realise what a tiny, insignificant little piece of rock the planet we call home, is, in the overall scheme of the universe.
Can we really be alone? - I for one don't think so.

Here's another shot of Venus - the so called 'evening star' from last night at dusk - it's now easier to find low in the SSW - a less bright planet Jupiter is due south at dusk |
