| | | Re: Total LUNAR Eclipse in february Well... I hope if you wanted to see it, you saw a bit of it?
It was too misty, hazy and cloudy in Reading to see much detail, so didn't take any shots.
A shame really, as at 11pm the sky was totally clear, if a wee bit hazy.
I'm sure there were areas of the country that saw it all? I have a friend in Florida at present, who I'm sure saw it all! Very jealous!
Never mind eh?
Lets see what December 21st 2010 brings.....

| | | Re: Total LUNAR Eclipse in february I managed a couple of very hazy sightings at about 2am and 4am and it was much darker than when the moon first rose (which proves the eclipse happened!) It's one of the pleasures of star-gazing that you never know when you'll be able to see something and when you do it's all the more enjoyable. That's my theory anyway! |

I read on Sky news both yesterday and this morning that the next lunar eclipse will occur in 2015 on the 28th November. So that's even longer to wait! I'll be 27 when that happens

Blimey Nick!
I guess Sky would know (hur hur).
I was under the impression that the full eclipse would be visible in North America on 21st Dec 2010, but it might also be visible at "moonset" here in the UK? Though I could well be wrong?
Cheers for that info though...

I don't know when the next Lunar eclipse is, but the next Solar eclipse is on 29th September 2009, I think! Correct me, if I am mistaken!
