Cheers,
Adam | I've got a feeling that I recently heard that the footage wasn't Neil Armstrong - he was the one doing the filming.
The US do plan to go to the moon again, just not for a while. |

True, they only list a paltry 77 benefits on that page (including several related to new fuels and energy efficiency) but they have also provided some links and tips on how to find the hundreds of others.

The footage of Neil coming down the ladder was definitely Neil and, as carlos_dfc explained was done with a remote camera. However, there is only one still photograph showing Neil Armstrong on the surface. It has been suggested that this is because Buzz deliberately didn't take any as he was still miffed at not being the first one out of the capsule and having his name in the history books. Buzz has denied this. Sadly, I wasn't there so can't comment!

Dave P. | Given that they were using very clunky cameras wearing big gloves i think it might be nearer the truth to say Buzz probably took 25 lunar skies, 5 left boots, one Neil, a piece of rock and 75 pictures of his thumb. |

If the swan and the bumblebee are just within the supposed laws (note italics) of physics, then I cannot even get my head around a Jumbo jet making it off the ground!
So as for man getting to the moon...
