| | | Wyrt Moon Hope everyone's outside watching tonight's full Moon. aka the Wyrt Moon.
Clear skies over the Kintyre Peninsula so I was able to shoot a few frames:
This first shot was taken with my Panason FZ-50 zoomed out to 420mm with a 1.45x Olympus tele-extender attached. Exposure was f11 at 1/60th, ISO200.
This second shot was again taken with my Panason FZ-50 zoomed out to 420mm but without the tele-extender attached. Exposure was again f11 at 1/60th, ISO200. |

I'm a bit worried this year - very poor crop of garlic .... might be a resurgence of vampires and other dodgy neighbours?

| | | Re: Waxing Wyrt Moon 30-08-07 We had some clear skies last night too, so I rattled off a few more frames.
I switched to manual focus and was able to bring a bit more detail out. |

| | | Re: Full Moon Tonight 28-08-07 Ah, that was one big beautiful full moon. I haven't seen the moon in ages with all that cloud we had in the summer, so it was a treat. Full moons make me go a bit loopy-- I stick my head out the window in the middle of the night and take deep breaths of that lovely cold night air, perhaps howling if I feel like it! |

Not surprising, Luna is the earth's moon and effects many people in strange ways hence a lunatic.
You are just one of many thousands of people who is effected by the mooooooon.

BWD | Tell me about it. I've suffered the secondary effects many times.

Difficult to see the moon at present - if there is one - and, despite the cloud cover, the nights have got quite cool suddenly .... No vampires yet ... |

The Wyrt Moon is a pre-Christian name for the last full moon before the Barley or Harvest Moon in September. |
