What sort of washing machines do people have? I worry about the electricity and water mine uses, but when I suggested we got a twin tub, it wasn't well received. I don't have time mostly to wash by hand. (My mother used to spend all Mondays washing, but she didn't go out to work. And she had a mangle, which I'd quite like one of. It was hard work though. |

I have had a look on ebay, plenty of them there but they are all electrically powered, not a single hand cranked one anywhere. I wish I had not taken my mother's old Acme to the tip 30 years ago.
